Meeting FUNDAE requirements with Busuu for Business

What is FUNDAE?

FUNDAE is Spain's national system for subsidising employee training. Companies that pay into social security receive an annual training credit, which can be used to fund language learning programmes and reclaimed through reduced social security contributions. 

How does Busuu meet FUNDAE requirements?

Busuu for Business meets the criteria for FUNDAE’s self-led online learning (Teleformación) training format.

We can provide the documentation you need to submit to FUNDAE for reimbursement, including attendance records, tutor credentials, progress reports, and learner certificates.

How much of the training costs can FUNDAE cover?

The subsidy depends on your company's size. Smaller companies (under 10 employees) can often reclaim up to 100% of training costs. Larger companies typically receive between 50 and 75%. Your external training consultant will handle the submission and can give you the full picture on what your company qualifies for. 

Do employees need to pass an exam for FUNDAE compliance?

FUNDAE requires proof of participation and progress, not necessarily exam passes. Learners on Busuu for Business can take quick, frequent level assessments to show their advancement, and up-to-date completion data is always available.
